*A Tribute to my Brother*
Today 9th
August is Rangjee’s Punya Tilhi. Yes I always called him Rangjee though he was
three year elder to me but I never said Bhai sahib or dada to him. I do not
know how I was used to say ‘Rangjee’; but I have great respect and regard for
him Amma and chacha had told me that this name was given to him on the name
Rang Nath Mandir’s ‘Rangjee Bhagwan’. Ioved the name as it gave the sweetest
feelings
He was
six footer, well built, fair complexion,
very handsom with shy and sweet smile on his face. He was known as a very
successful High court judge. I recall his roles as brother, son father and husband
which he carried out to the best extent.
Whenever
I was n delima and needed guidance he was always there to admonish. He was very
pure hearted and down to earth person full of emotions. Though he was an
introward but he was a wealth , library of knowledge and information. Not only
that he was very caring and concerned for all relatives poor or rich.
I do
not know what others think but this is my personal feeling that he was very close and attached to mother and
all sisters.
After
the death of my ‘Babujee’ he was more like a father figure, took all the
responsibilities of my ‘MAYKA’. Every Teej, BhaiDuj he never forgot me.
I
think in todays modern society everything, festivals, feelings get limited with
your own son and daughter. But he was different like a banyan Tree (Bat Vriksh)
under whose shelter every one could grow with humanity, love, effection,
Patienee co-operation and empathy. He
inculcated all the high values of Babujee. I am proud to say that he embibed
the same values in children too.
Our elders are
always around us and there presence can be felt in one form or other
